Collection Details
Reputedly Henry Burton, but according to Farr (infra) this is questionable. It was owned by the Gabriel family, and was sold by Thomas Gabriel at Sotheby’s, 15 July 1964, lot 66: bought by Agnew, from whom it was acquired by the Faringdon Trustees.
